Nestled in the curve of Kailua Bay against Mokapu Penisula is one of my favorite beaches on Oahu. At low tide, dozens of little tide pools appear, filled with sea cucumber and crabs. The makani (wind) blows rapid stormbursts directly onto the beach, but, if you can stick out the rain, there is usually a rainbow over the water.
